There was a little background noise in my voice tag recordings even though the truck was off and the windows up when I recorded them. Now they sound different (cleaner) even though I haven't re-recorded them. I don't know if this will help you, but the dealer is Santa Paula Chevrolet, 805-525-2127.
That's great news... I wish they provided more detail on what ground was bad or what software was updated. I installed the NAV unit myself and have the same problems, it wouldn't be covered under warranty so I can't really bring it in but am perfectly capable of fixing it myself If I knew exactly what to look for. I also own the Tech2 for programming anything that needs updating. Was there anything on your receipt that might give more details?

No, in fact, the receipt doesn't give part numbers for the warranty stuff, only on the purchased items since this was it's first service visit as well. The SA was Rafael Romero (nice guy), so don't be afraid to call him and see if he can let you talk to the electrical specialist (not a regular mechanic). I've bought at least a dozen cars and trucks there in last few years. As long as they think you're in need of help on a warranty situation, they should help you. Just tell him Brad from Westover suggested you call them for help. If you get nowhere, let me know and I'll talk to the SM Bill Edwards.

Thanks! I spoke to Rafael and he was indeed very nice. He said the connector in the back of the radio had a bad connection and he did a software update on the nav unit. I can't find any new calibration software on TIS2WEB for the nav unit so I don't understand what was updated. He said he used a MDI device that GM provided to all dealers and it doesnt show calibration part #'s during the update. I have a TECH2. Not sure if that is accurate. The connection issue on the back doesnt make sense because its used for recording voice commands and you stated the commands were much clearer WITHOUT being re-recorded. Anyway, thanks for your help with this, I will poke around the back and see if I can clean up any connection issues I come accross.

Shawn, they referred to a technical bulletin out on this? Do you happen to have access to it? The spoke with GM tech services and they explained the procedure to correct the problem.

Actually, they stopped the heated washers on the late build '09's as well, even though all the brochure materials say that all LTZ's have them. Ask me how I know.

Default wipers

why would they drop rain sense wipers? mine work fine... and the red/amber / green whatever backup lights are nice... i never look at them since i have the camera, but they are pretty!

the power flippy fold seats are nice, but i've used them ONCE in 10,000 miles... and i took the 3rd row out... so I will most likely never use them again...

I wonder why they dropped these items as well.
Must have been a bunch of complaints.
A guy had a lexus MD??? The small SUV's style. I must say they have some innvovation in them. Nice big Nav screen, A flip down cup holder on the drivers side(say where our headlight switch is) as well as the center consel. There adjustment to fit the big size drinks. GM uses a rubber flap. They use a staged plastic lip.
Trust me I am 100% GM(well my wife has a Acura TL-Great Car). Paid 50k for my 09 Tahoe and just bought a 06 Z06.

Just some of the small $hit bugs me. Why does it take GM 2-3 yrs after everybody else to get bluetooth and a MP3 plug and hardrive in a radio.
Also leather padded Door arm rest?
I remember looking at a 1991 Toyota 4 runner. You could not lock the front driver door(if it was open) and the key was in the ignition. Come on GM.......

Merry Christmas to all!

StSqrl: The powerfold 2nd row are still there, just only have the buttons by the C pillar.

Dennis: You can't lock the doors w/ the key in the ignition on the NBS. Not sure when they started that.

Fast55: The reason they dropped the heated washer was because thru GM's ineptness, they forced the mfg into bankruptcy. I just bought one from the successor company, AlphaTherm, for my new one.

Hi 73 Shark, My comment should have read back in 1991. I know the tech is there now with GM but back in 91 they were way behind. Even now. Lexus,Acura, Infinity all have great features. What GM car would compare to these. Say a Acura TL. Malibu or impala not even close. CTS is maybe.....
