2010 Tahoe LTZ - Radiator flush
I've done some internet research and understand that to do a radiator flush, you must remove the bottom hose from the radiator.
I'm not much of a mechanic, but accessing the lower hose seems near impossible. I don't have a lift, but even if I could get under the car, there seems to be so much plastic, I still wouldn't be able to get to it.
Has anyone changed/flushed the coolant on a 2010 Tahoe? If so, any pointers or tips?
Thanks,
John

Why do you need to do a flush? Dex cool is good for 5 years. And after you get it back together you have to have this special device that sits on top of the fill opening the pulls a complete vacuum on the system (ie 30inches of mercury) and then it fills the system by pulling the fluid in via the vacuum. The air must be pumped out or else the dex cool will start to oxidize and then clog up your system.
Took the vehicle in for a recall and a broken door handle and they checked everything and said that the coolant had degraded somewhat and they recommended a flush.
I said no thanks thinking I could do it myself.
It's got 48K miles
