I'm new to the suburban. I have a 2000 ls 1500 that is cranking but will not start when it does it quickly sputters to a stop an hour before this problem started the car was driving but a little sluggish. I have replaced the fuel filter already today. I will add that I can hear the fuel pump when I turn the battery on. Can my fuel pump still be bad? Any help is appreciated

 

Yes the fuel pump could still be bad. Try spraying some starter fluid down the throttle body and see if it runs for a few seconds. You should also check the fuel pressure.
