Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Metal Skid Plate - Transfer Case - 15049809 $46.46
Metal Engine Skid Plate - 15843753 $54.61
Part numbers for the bolts are 11518341 $6.79 each from the dealer

I'm ordering mine tomorrow - dealer gave me these numbers today.

Have torched my front bumper twice now off road. First time was complete replace, second, dealer was able to bend the junk plastic brackets back in place, today. Also bent the brackets on the back "bumper" catching it on the turf. My old 1994 Suburban wouldn't have noticed any of the conditions I was driving through. I'm obviously not happy with Chevy's taking the "Utility" out of this SUV. Havinig a lift kit put on it next week (2.5 inch front/1.25 inch rear) in hopes to keep the plastic "bumpers" off the dirt. My John Deere walk behind lawnmower handles the dirt better than this technological advancement. It's a kid hauler! And if the lift kit, skid plates and possibly taller wheels don't do it, i'll be a Jeep owner as Chevy has missed the point of an SUV. Sorry for the rant!

Did he give you the bolt numbers too.

No on the bolt numbers. Can update tomorrow after I order the parts if that's not too late for you. I just assumed that the bolts will be ordered (or will come with) the plates but your point is well taken.

Yea, if I knew 2 months ago when I bought this POG what I'd be dealing with, I'd never have traded off the 94. Would have put a crate motor in it and kept on down the road. Had a frank discussion with the owner of the dealership who is a friend and told him what I thought about the new truck. Skid plates and bigger wheels were the answer from them.

Ever tried to put anything wider than an 8 year old through the side door with the middle row seats folded. Good luck. My 94 we stuck hunting dog crates in the side door with no issues. Unbelievable. Can you tell I'm pissed!

Mine is a 2010 Suburban LT

I can tell. I was disappointed that skid plates were no longer an option and I miss my metal bumpers. Clearcoat paint sucks now and the laminate in my windshield separated. They are going to fix it but that is not the issue. Should
Not have come this way.

I am pissed too.

I buy / lease 2 new tahoes or suburbans every 3 years, these may be my last.
Quality has gone down. Workmanship has also suffered.
