Default 2011 Suburban battery drain?

I have a 2011 Suburban. I have had it for a few months, and I'm just finding a few little issues. (I hope.)

My battery has died a few times when I really would not have expected it to. Loading up the car for camping, and I guess having the doors open while loading it up killed the battery. It died once while camping too. It happened in the extreme cold a few times in the winter.

I have an ACDelco batter, so I'm guessing it's original. But I just took it to Advanced Auto to check the battery and they're saying it's good.

Is there a way for me to check if something is drawing power while it's sitting? Is there a way to identify what it is? F

Think I should replace the battery anyway? Might that just cover up a problem?

If it's the original 6 yr battery it's probably time for a new one based on you description of when it dies.

you'll need a digital voltmeter. hook it to your battery. Pull individual fuses while watching if you have a voltage drop. Some things require "stay awake" power such as radio ect. I had a 2010 Silverado that would do the same thing, dealer replaced the battery said it was bad, Sears said the battery was good.I knew it wasn't the battery, but it was a work lease truck, so. I never found out what it was. Intermittent, drive it 600 miles, battery might be dead the next morning. Let it set 3 weeks, fire right up.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the input. I think I'll try testing it before getting a new battery.
I don't see anything on, but I'm curious to test it and see now.

If it's original battery, replace it.

They didn't. I don't know much...is that easy to test? He did mention that because the battery tested well it could be the alternator.

(Ugh. What would it cost for a new alternator? Is that something I can do myself? Probably not, huh?)

I'd revisit the battery
