My 2011 suburban rear hatch does not open when I push the outside handle. I can open the hatch with the remote and the button inside. I can close the hatch with the button on the door. Any ideas what might be causing my trouble?

I have the exact same problem. Did you ever find a solution? 2007 Suburban Z71

You will have to remove the inner door panel to check out the wiring and the handle switch since it works otherwise.
