Default 2011 Suburban, Navigation very slow/locks up..how to fix?

Have a brand new 2011 Suburban 15,000 miles. The navigation/GPS system is very slow and sometimes locks up for a period of time.
It tends to get worse on long trips..could it be a heat problem?? Touch Screen problem?

Need some help here. Very frustrating.

Is the disc scratched ? Is it original? Heat maybe.

Verify the map disc is the correct part number and a legitimate disc, not a copy. (To remove the map disc press Menu, Nav, Map Database Information, then the Change Screen button. The screen will tilt exposing the Map DVD slot.) Clean the disc with a soft cloth. After cleaning, reinstall the disc and reevaluate for concern.

2011 Disc is part #: 22880386
2012 Disc is part #: 20940248

If this does not solve the issue, please contact your dealer for additional assistance.
