Sabr, you keep us entertained too. One reason I come here is to see what you say next.

You and I have the same opinion of Gov't Motors. My $200 Garmin Nuvi is light years ahead of the Suburban $2000 nav system and I can even program it to where I want to go while driving w/o having to buy a lockpick.

GM has its head in the sand when it comes to tech.
Hear us GM?

And you can even enter the address in the way you think, not in "Reverse Polish" like HP calculators.

Default 6.0c

that's 6.0c not 6.0

just FYI.

the 2012 should drop soon...

when did 6.0c drop? I think I was in my old house, so over a year ago, and it was cold out... so winter maybe?

it's a great update and upgrade over the 4.0c I had.

Taking it in next week (again) and leaving so they can see how when it's cold, it shows the "No GPS" symbol and sometimes doesn't even know where it is.
They replaced the antenna and cable and voila, it now works. At least so far.

Tried the voice recognition right before I dropped it off and naturally it worked. Tried again afterwards and it reverted back to its old ways. Now sometimes it works and sometimes not.

Not sure I can understand how they can run out of DVDs. Don't they have a burner?

Is the update worth it in my 08 Sub? What are the differences between the 08 vs 12?

as far as we know there is only a 2011 update for your model. It was a good upgrade when I went from our stock 2007 disk. but if I were you I would wait for a bit to get the 2012 disk and then upgrade.
you will have a lot of more roads, slighly quicker response, and a few other new features. but the biggest thing will be all of the updated roads/places
