2012 Suburban LT 26" wheels Questions
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself and ask a couple of questions. So, let me begin...I am completely unfamiliar with SUVs and came from the car scene.
BMW 5 series (all Dinan)
Evo X (520 on pump, 750hp+ e85)
*Yes, I am sure alot of you will hate it but trust me..she was a beast.*
So I recently destroyed my Evo (1.5yr build & $30k motor build, awesome I know) and I am looking to switch it up a bit. I have read through a couple different threads on some of these answers but I was hoping to maybe get some fresh input or thoughts. (If I am retarded and missed an obvious thread feel free to point it out to me, id appreciate it.)
So here are my questions;
I am looking at 2012 LT 4x4 and putting it on 24" or 26" and lowering it.
1.) Do the 26" really tend to bend that easily? I don't plan on hitting pot holes but it just concerns me. (live in IL)
2.)How bad would rubbing be, if any? I plan on getting it professional done and aligned etc. Is it just plastic in fender that would rub? I am assuming it wouldnt be to hard to remove/fix.
3.) What are some good lowering options? Like I said I am a noob and would prefer to get a well recognized mfg. Any other personal experience please share as well.
4.) Any issues model wise to watch out for etc?
5.) I am looking into the following wheels;
DUB.1 ONE™ SIX Wheels - Custom Painted Rims (PREFERRED)
or
GIANELLE® COZUMEL Wheels - Black with Black Lip Rims
Thoughts? Murdered out is the plan with a little JL audio. This will be a daily driver.
Also, a Tahoe is an option as well but I just figured F it and go bigger since the prices seem be about the same if not better for Suburban
I appreciate everyone's input and once again, I apologize if I missed an obvious thread. Also, if anyone knows of a reputable shop in IL please share as well. (new to area and distance doesn't matter)
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.
As far as rubbing on the inner fender liner goes, if it's mild, you can reshape it using a heat gun.
Personally I think anything over 22" makes it look like a covered wagon but to each his own.

When moving to a larger Diameter Rim, one can reduce the profile, to keep the Speedometer and performance issues at a minimum. However, the really low Profile Tires, are very vulnerable to Road Hazards. Elevated Air Pressures are a must, but, avoidance of a Hazard is going to be rather difficult.
Most of the rubbing problems which occur when doing this comes from someone trying to use a very wide tire. So, your problems will be less, if you don't overdo that.
A starting place for which ever vehicle you choose, is finding out what the OEM Tire Diameter is for it, and trying to match that as closely as you can.
PS:
If you're talking about a 1/2 ton vehicle, Pirelli has this 26" at the approximate OEM diameter...
