2013 Suburban LT Need Backup Camera
Guys,
Just bought a 2013 Suburban LT and love it. Came from a SLT Acadia and got spoiled with the back up camera. My Suburban does have BOSE but does not have the navigation system. What is the best solution to add a backup camera and some way to see it? The mirror options are crazy expensive like $800 and to put in a whole new nav system seems really expensive too. Thoughts?

How handy are you with tools? The reason why I ask is because you can get a factory onstar mirror with a LCD monitor built in from a place like ebay. Then you can add a aftermarket rear camera. I bought one from a guy off eBay 220.00 for my 2006 Sierra and added a aftermarket camera for 30.00. He included the connecting pins for the factory connector and instructions on how to add the pins for a RCA video input to the new onstar mirror. Since I already have a auto dimming mirror already, the reverse and power wires were already there. It looks factory. Of course you can do something cheaper like one of those wireless rear cameras for less than 100 bucks but I like things to look as factory as possible.
I wonder if that will work for the GMT900 bodies though, as that reverse camera goes through the navigation screen in the radio...honestly I think I like the review mirror idea better but I can see how the larger screen would be a bit more desirable...
