Default 2013 Suburban LTZ Brake lights won’t turn off

I had a lifter go out recently and replaced them all. When I hooked the battery back up the brake lights won’t turn off even when the car is off.
the CHMSL stays off unless I got my brakes, so that seems to work.
I have checked all the grounds in the engine bay and they are tight.
The fuses are all good.
I tried replacing the brake light relay as well as the stop light switch (it’s the one the looks like a fork that swivels), neither fixed the issue.
when I remove the x6(pink) plug from the BCM the lights turn off.
Does this all mean that my BCM is needing replaced? If so can I buy a used one or does it need to be programmed in some way?
