2014 Suburban Service Airbag light - Code showed Steering wheel air bag
A local garage read the code and determined it was the steering wheel airbag that was throwing the code.
Are there connections that need cleaned? Someone mentioned a clock spring?

to test it requires a airbag load tool. the air bag is removed and the tool plugged in place of the airbag...if the code goes away you need an airbag. if the code remains the tool is plugged in place of the clockspring...if the code goes away...you need a clockspring...if the code remains...you continue down the line untill all the wiring is ruled out and all that is left is the airbag sensing and diagnostic module.
if the local shop doesn't have a load tool...they are guessing based on the code that set.

Thank you. Just curious, Why would a clockspring need replaced ( other than it's electronic and they go bad)
The service airbag light only comes on occasionally.
