Default 2015 at the boat ramp

anyone else haul a boat with their Tahoe?

When you put it in the water, on the ramp, the Tahoe jacks up the back end of the truck and changes the angle of the trailer in the water...

Does the 2015 finally add a defeat switch to this setup?

Hi, can you elaborate on the problem you're having with the Tahoe jacking up the back end on the ramp? Is the ramp very steep or something?

Default leveling suspension

I have a 2009 LTZ w/the autoride and leveling suspension.

When you hook a trailer up to it, you can hear the compressor pump air into the rear to level the truck, so when you tow, the truck is level. It works quite well, and I like this feature.

I've seen many, many overloaded trailers hooked to too small SUVs that then have their headlights pointed sky high. The Tahoe remains level.

However I'd like an OFF switch for this at the boat ramp.

When I back into the water, and get ready to unhook the boat the truck thinks something is un-level between the weight of the trailer and or the ramp. so it over inflates the back end, raising it quite high at the ramp...

This topic's been discussed on some of the boat forums I visit, but I wanted to know if the 2015 added an override/disable option while on the ramp...

Thanks for the info. Yes, I get that but what is the problem you're having with the rear end being raised? Is it too high that you can't reach the winch or are you concerned the prop will hit the ramp? Sorry, I must sound dense to you but this is the first I've seen this discussed and I launch my boat with my suburban once a week and haven't had any problems.

That's cause you don't have AutoLevel.

STS,
I'd get a simple aftermarket SPST switch (placed out of the way), and just shut the pump off. Or, you could get a SPDT and a 12v red LED, and have a fancy indicator reminding you the ride was off.

Well I don't think I would have gone through the trouble of adjusting my hitch ball height to compensate for any rise in the rear end after I hook my boat up if I didn't have auto level.

SWHouston, that brings a good point about disabling it, what happens if you get a bit to deep or your have waves/wakes and the compressor sucks water?

I think I've seen some Oar Locks that would mount on the Luggage Rack Rails

You could have a sign on the side of your ride saying...
"I've had some difficulty in launching my Boat"

Default compressor

where is the air intake?

on my Wrangler, all the air vents are headlight level... long as you keep the water just below the headlights... keep swimming
