Big shoutout to Jim and the great bunch at Cylinder Head Exchange for the great machine work. Due to our less than stellar planning we ordered the valve springs after the heads went out and so here we are swapping springs on fresh heads..
There are 2 ways to upgrade the rocker arms in a gen V motor. You can buy the rocker arms or you can buy the trunnion upgrade kit and install it on the rocker arms you already have. Here is a video demonstrating how to install the trunnion upgrade on gen V rockers..
This thread is about an in-vehicle camshaft swap and here that is. In order to make room for the camshaft to come out the radiator and fans were removed. The A/C condenser is still in place and the A/C system still has it's charge. My apologies about the poor quality from the low light at the engine block..

As we raise valve lift and extend the duration it becomes important that we limit or restrict the allowed movement of the VVT system or we might happen upon a PTV clearance issue. The BTR stage 2 camshaft we are installing instructs to add in a 4 degree limiter that gets installed inside of the camshaft sprocket also called the camshaft phaser. Here is that limiter being installed..
