2016 Suburban: Remote Start Climate Control Settings
Howdy! We recently purchased a 2016 suburban LT with the "luxury" package that includes remote start. Down here in Houston it is very hot so remote start is nice as it will get the vehicle cooled off before you get in. With that said, it doesn't appear that our A/C kicks on when running in remote start mode. We've made sure to leave the settings on "auto" at 73 degrees yet the air is just not blowing at all. This is especially annoying when loading three small kids into the back of a very hot car. Any tips? Experience with this issue? Pointers?
We are coming from a 2008 GMC yukon that also had remote start. The front and rear AC in that thing would be blowing a full speed in remote start mode and have the car freezing when you got in. So, something seems off with the new ride. HELP!!!!!

Have you adjusted the climate control settings for the remote start in the infotainment system? They are kind of buried, but my came with conflicting settings enable so I also had to find and change them...
My seat heaters and seat AC were both on when I took delivery. The AC was also what was on, not the heat. In December. In Ohio.

I didn't realize there were remote-start specific setting. I'll have to play with that tonight. I found a setting for which speed the fan should be on in auto mode (low/med/high) but that didn't help this remote start issue. We've really noticed that it is the rear AC system that isn't blowing when running in remote start mode. I'll look into that tonight. Good insight.
Trust me I've read through the manual in detail trying to resolve this. I messed with the settings described above but no luck. It seems that the front AC comes on but the rear AC does not. I hate to take it to the shop for something like this but I don't think it is operating properly. Any others with a newer burb / tahoe that can chime in? I'm more trying to figure out if this is "operating normally" or not.
Is it possible that your rear a/c is turned off via the toggle buttons on the bottom of the dash so that when you press auto start, the truck is simple reverting to the current a/c setting when the vehicle was turned off? Just a thought...

I have noticed this same thing on my 2015 burban LT. I have not been able to find a menu setting or notation in the owner's manual about it. I've also tried setting the rear zone on auto, no help. It would be nice to have the rear zone come on to better cool the vehicle.
