Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

Default 2016 Z71 Suburban

When will 2016 Z71 Suburban become available? Can one be ordered? GM website is still in 2015 Model Year so there is no information or specs for 2016 that I can find. Dealers don't know much either. Why such a mystery?

Default 2016s

I believe by law they can only be 3-4 months ahead. Generally end of August/Sept you can start ordering next model years.

I don't know of any major changes for the Suburban, unless they put the new 8 speeds in them.

Of course google found stuff

Looks like they dropped the CD player... so did my car and the aftermarket one I put in the mazda... plays mp3s off a USB stick.

Sorry, don't mean to butt in new to this forum thing. If you go to the GM build your vehicle and build Tahoe/Suburban with the offroad suspension package, instead of premium or smooth ride suspension packages, it will changes the vehicle to a Z71 instantly. If you look up at the vehicle when you select this option you'll notice that the emblem will now appear on the truck. (On the rear lift gate and on the side rear pillar where it normally appears. )

2016's can be ordered from the dealer. If you google the right phrase there is sprucing guide. There are only a few changes. Couple color deletions and additions. Digital reconfigurable dash. No gas cap fuel filler system. Maybe a thing or 2 more but that's about it.
