Default 2017 versus 2020 Tahoe

I have a 2017 Tahoe Primer bought brand new in 2017. Recently, I had the reason to drive a new 2020 Tahoe LT. My question is: Why does the new 2020 LT seem to drive better, smoother than my 2017? Did they improve the engine and transmission that much from the 2017?

My 2017 drives OK with about 14,000 miles on it, but the engine seems kind of rough compared to the 2020. Mine also seems to hesitate on taking off where as the 2020 just seems to accelerate just fine. Am I just imagining these differences or should I have my dealer look checkout my 2017?

Thanks for any responses.
