Hi, just wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong with my Tahoe? It’s a 2020 Tahoe z71, purchased it in December and has 2400 miles. Within 2 weeks, when accelerating on the highway, the check engine light would flash and the vehicle was slow to accelerate. I returned it to the dealer and was initially told nothing is wrong the vehicle but after keeping it overnight and starting it up first thing in the morning when it was cold, they said it had a bad fuel injector. They finally replaced the fuel injector last Monday and as of yesterday, the check engine light is again flashing when accelerating and is slow to gain speed. I don’t know what to think at this point. Either they replaced a bad with fuel injector with another bad injector or something else is going on her. This vehicle has a V8 engine but you wouldn’t know it because of the lack of power it’s experiencing. Anyway I have a call in the dealership but don’t have a lot of faith they will actually properly diagnose and fix the problem with my vehicle. Anyone else experiencing this problem with a new Tahoe?

 

it depends what the check engine trouble code is

 

the vehicle is misfiring. the flashing is a warning that this fault can damage the catalytic convertor. have this
fixed asap

 

do you say that because misfire is the only fault that causes the MIL to flash?

 

I'll second it, Yes misfiring is the only fault to make CEL flash.

 

yep. misfiring but cause unknown. you are correct; knowing the codes would still be the first step
