Default 2020 Tahoe/Yukon battery change without setting off Advanced Theft Deterrent alarm

Hi All,

I've got a new-to-me 2020 Yukon SLT with the up-level alarm system. When I disconnect the main car battery to do electrical work, the alarm siren goes off (it has its own separate siren and battery hidden somewhere). How do I disable that - and reactivate it when I reconnect the main battery? THANKS!

Usually there's a valet switch somewhere. Did you get a manual for the alarm system?
The dealership should be able to help you with it.
