Default 2021 Suburban Can't Defrost Windshield Wipers

I live in Maine and recently purchased a 2021 Suburban. I discovered after our first winter storm that the wipers on the '21 Suburban sit inches below where your defroster hits your windshield. They sit so low you can't even see them. After running my truck for 30 minutes with the defroster on high I could not thaw my wipers from my windshield. My wipers also froze to my windshield while driving on another occasion. This is a huge design flaw.

Interesting - on our '20 Tahoe they are exposed enough that it's easy to flip them up off the glass in cold weather over night

Don't really know without looking at the vehicle, but can the wiper arms be repositioned to bring the blades up some without hitting anything on the outside when working.

Welcome to the forum. Did the defroster melt the ice on the rest of the windshield?
I'm moving your post to the Suburban section of the forum where it will get more views.

It did defrost the rest of the windshield. The wipers rest on the window below the dash and it wouldn't touch anything down there.

My '11 wipers sit below the heat zone when in off / parked position. Nothing new there.

We live in U.P. of Michigan and we are having the same issue! My wife had to take it to the car wash and spray out all of the ice to get the wipers to even turn back on from our last trip. It was a snowstorm and we had a heck of a time trying to see out the windshield because the wipers wouldn't work properly. It is definitely not a good design and is hazardous to those that live in cold weather.

Default 2021 Tahoe Same Problem

Live in Colorado, 2021 Tahoe Same Problem. Defroster does not defrost window or wipers. Driving is dangerous, cannot see out our windows. Even if you put it on high, you have nothing but water streaks and ice. Feels like cold air blowing during defrost.
Unacceptable
