2022 Suburban High Country - Shut off on freeway
2022 Dec 20th i got my suburban, 20k on the car, no warning, no speeding, highway miles. Shut down on me completely on a freeway. Wont turn on, Battery - 100%, Chevy app says car is 100%, No recalls, No issues, Serviced a Chevy dealer. I am puzzled. This is a 100k car, and i was stranded on the freeway.

Do any dashboard lights come on when you turn key to the "Run" position? Does engine crank when you try to start? OMG - you didn't even state what year of Suburban, just when you got it. If this has "no key" starting, too new for me....
Hi All,
I had a very scary encounter with my brand new car. On a freeway at 70mph speed cruising, suddenly the car lost power and moved it to Neutral gear and shut off. I moved to the curb and tried restarting the car, no response from the engine. The check engine light was on. With a message on the screen when I try to do anything “ the car is not conducive enough to shift to drive” or something on those lines. I tried after waiting 20 to 30 mins, same thing. Called for towing and they couldn’t move it to neutral. The car was dragged on to the trailer bed and transported.
Dealership has no idea about what happened and they believe the engine might need a replacement!! No clue when they can get the parts or the engine. This is a ridiculous situation to be in. The car is brand new and run about 23k miles and still very much in warranty.
Anyone faced similar situation? Feels like it’s not a reliable car.

Wow - a week !!! That's horrible quality of service/customer service from that dealership !!!! Not a good "recommendation" for getting a GM vehicle!
I was told exact same by a GM dealership a decade ago after they repeatedly could not find out what was wrong with the sunroof on our 2005 Yukon. So I did get a refund for their non-service charges, and once the sunroof was closed, I simply pulled its fuse to keep it closed.

I will give them the benefit of a week due to holidays and resource crunch. I am starting to get annoyed now.
