2023 Suburban worn rear tires from towing trailer
I have a 2023 Suburban Premier, diesel with tow package. Towing a 26 foot travel trailer that is approximately 7500 Lbs.. The tongue weight is usually 10% of trailer and matches what the suburban states on the decal in the door.
I had a rear tire blowout with 18,000 miles and approximately 12,000 miles towing the trailer. About 1 inch of the inside of both rear tires worn down to the steel belt and the one blew. After returning home, I bought a tongue scale and the trailer shows a tongue weight of 950 Lbs.
I understand I'm towing over capacity. What can I do to the suburban to be able to tow this trailer? rear airbags?
Thanks for your ideas.
