Default 2023 Tahoe License Plate bulb replacement

I have a 2023 Chevy Tahoe and am pretty handy. However, I don't see any easy way to change the license plate bulb on my Tahoe from the outside. It looks like I need to pull the inside trim panel off from the inside of my liftgate. Am I missing something?
Thanks

I hate to say this, but with most newer cars using LED's everywhere.... it may not be user replaceable?

Actually, I just found this:

https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-2023-chevrolet-tahoe--z71--6-2l-v8-gas/electrical--license-lamps

Looks like the ENTIRE plastic piece above the license has both LED's built in, and you have to pull the whole thing out and replace it - not just the bulb. Good news is the part is only $48. Also - looks like it is retained with nuts from the INSIDE. Meaning pulling off the inside trim panel on the tailgate.... not fun I know!

My vehicle is still under warranty but didn't think this would be covered. But I'll give it a shot. Thanks!

1. Not surprised that GM designed this so an entire assembly would be required.

2. "looks like it is retained with nuts from the INSIDE. Meaning pulling off the inside trim panel on the tailgate" Not surprised that GM designed this so not so readily user replaceable.

3. Not surprised that GM has two different part numbers available at that link provided https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/v-2023...-license-lamps

Thanks, GM !!!
