Default 21 Tahoe Front Grill Peeling

You think spending $78k on a vehicle you wouldn’t have cheap plastic film peeling from the grill so quickly. What are people doing for solutions besides driving the vehicle through the dealership like the old Discount Tire commercial. I’ve read it just isn’t this model from GM.

I agree, spend that kind of money and get cheap crap. Our 2021 High Country is suffering the same condition. My plan is to bring it to the dealers attention which I know will not bear any fruit. Still, it will be on record. Then I think I may investigate a Plasti-Dip application. Lots of masking but it may be worth a shot. Also investigating alternate solutions

I have that Tech Bulletin, have the issue, next trip to the dealer I will address with them. Or, I may just hit the paint wear points with touch-up paint and then apply some clear tape to the area. Not real keen on the gorillas at the dealership strong arming the plastic components.

With respect to the peeling tape, unfortunately it doesn't appear to address the peeling ape on the grill.

I don't know if I would use clear tape on a $78K car. I would use clear coat

Ah, just a small piece on either side of the front fascia at the contact point for abrasion resistance, should be totally hidden.

Default Same Issue

I have the same issue with my 2021 Tahoe. The dealership says it’s rock damage. So frustrating
