Default 22' sensor error

Does anyone know how to disengage the tire pressure monitor system. I've put on aftermarket 22's and the factory monitors don't work.

Thanks

There is no way to disenage the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and turn the warning lamp out other than to have to have a fully operational TPM system on the vehicle.

I am thinking of putting 22"s on mine as well. I am thinking of buying the wheels on line and purchased the rubber locally and then driving over to my dealer and having them do the install so I don't have that problem.

Just make certain that the wheels you select can accomodate the TPM sensors and that the tire shop you select has experience with the system.

Thinking about putting 24's on my tahoe. A few questions.

What size tires can I go with, should I go with, for no rub?

How can I determine if the wheels i buy can accomadate TPM sensors?

Where do I get these TPM sensors, how much?

Does a chevy dealer have to do all of this? Or could a tire shop? Thanks for any and all help.

i have seen the sensors on e-bay fairley reasonable, i don't see why a tire shop couldn't install them. and i guess you would have to ask the wheel manufacturer if they will fit

Mr. Long,
What happens once the sensors are in the wheels? Do you have to have the computer changed? THanks.

Once you install the sensors in your new rims, you will need to run the TPMS learning mode. This is available, while in park, in the DIC menu on your dash.

It describes the procedure in detail in the manual.

I have 24x10's with 305/35 and they are a good fit for the rims. They do however rub a bit at turn while in reverse.Only other tire I know of is 315/30/24..i cant vouch for them though...but thats seriously rubber bandy.
