Default 22s rubbing

Hello all. I have an 07 Z-71 and would like to put 22" Foose wheels on it. I'm sure this has been covered before on the forum but, I was wondering if 45 series tires will rub or not? Thanks for your help.

I have 22x9.5 wheels with 305/45/22 and it rubs just a tiny tiny bit in the front when going in reverse. It's all going to depend on the offset of your wheels to determine how bad the rubbing is going to be. Let me know.....

If you do get some minor rubbing, others have reshaped the plastic wheel well by using a heat gun rather than cutting it.

In the frontthe rubbing usuallyaccur's at the very bottom on the lowest and most inward fender clip. Most of the time its so slight that it just pulls the pin out a little and folds it 90 degree's and rubs the tire when in reverse. Kind of like when you were a kid and you stuck the card in your bicycle tire. To fixthis, remove the clip and find a one piece push pin (christmas tree plug) which is thinner than the factory two piece. You can also get a little rubbing about 6-8 inches above the clip in the linerwhen the wheel is fully locked. This is easily fixed with 73shark's heating recommendation. Its real easy to spot, just let it rub a few times and pop your head inside and you'll see when it slightly marks the liner. It sounds worse than the damage it causes........

Well, I put 22" Foose DF-6s with 305-45-22 on. They look great but run in the front and rear of the front wheel well. I will try to reshape them tomorrow. Also need to locate some of the one piece push pins (one was ripped out completely from the tire but, it doesn't rub anymore). Anyone know if I can find those pins at the local auto store?

try in the help sections in the autoparts store. We commonly refer to these little pins as "christmas tree plugs"......
