RE: 2nd Battery Tray?
Here are the part numbers I have for the 2nd battery install:
014005061 Retainer $2.09
011509853 Screw $0.58
0CABLEKIT Batt Cable Kit-1042 $150.00
089022168 486 YR Battery $72.89
Those are just how they were written on the invoice. Obviously prices are going to vary, but that should get you on the right track.

No pictures, as the dearship did the install. All I know is that the batteries are on opposites sides. The main battery is on the passenger side, and the 2nd on is on the drivers side near the fuses. That's all I got.

RE: 2nd Battery Tray?
That's good in formation but still leaves us lacking in terms of being able to direct the dealer to execute the work properly.
My assumption based on ordering parts, having minor works doneand talking to 3 separate Chevy shops, isthat the GM shopsare going to be completely inept when it comes to the 2007.
Getting the battery and bolting it in place will be easy. If a wiring harness is necessary, it makes the install more complex as it needs to connect somewhere and be routed properly. I hope there was no reprogramming necessary to make sure the car knows it has another battery...
Any chance you can post the PDF here? Any pictures you couldpost that show where the harness goes?
Thanks.

When you look under the hood, everything is hidden and intertwined within the rest of the engine. There's really nothing to take a picture of. My advice to you if you don't have confidence in the GM techs, is to go to a RV shop and ask them to do it.

RE: 2nd Battery Tray?
My 2007 Tahoe had a second battery installed by the previous owner. I know nothing about the install but it was done at a GM/Chevy dealership. I took off the negative battery cable on the main battery. My vehicle still had power.
My question is how do I cut off the power to the entire vehicle? The negative on the second battery isnt easliy accessible. So any advice for anyone that has this? I thought disconnecting the main battery would cut off both?

RE: 2nd Battery Tray?
I have 2007 2500 series (6 Liter). My fuse box is on driver side with the additional battery like tray in front of it also. Mounted on the front side of the fuse box (outside of the box cover) is two "hot" (12+volts) terminal posts! I do not have the schematics and they are not listed on fuse box. I was wondering if anyone new of these and can they be used as the second battery supply? Could it really be that simple? Owe, the only way on the 2500 series to order the second battery is with the snow-plow option! But in SoCalif., we do not see many of these... however, could be useful in traffic!
