350 tbi 1500 gmc suburban idle problems
hi all im new to the forum an seen many great answers but none to my problem...my mom owned my suburban parked it due to idle surging an dieing at stop so my ? is i am not getting oil to right side of motor idk about the left dont wanna pull due valve covers to low money but fresh oil change fram filter swiched back to pureolator still same no oil plz help 2nd ? runs great untill warm idle surges mabe (guess to how much from normal rpm )2 3oo rpm up an down for about a min then dies starts every time no problem runs a couple of secounds then surges an dies. fixed problem after fuel pump changed about 100 miles on it then started again changed..... left map unpluged ran better than new so i changed it still happened gettin light white smoke when i push on fuel pedal out of ideas so any answers are greatly appreciated also no codes truck has 264000 on body motor an tranny rebuilt at 130000scared to drive to uncle shop about 10mi away
how do you know your not getting oil to one side or the other without pulling the valve covers???
need a year of the truck to determine what all they got on that motor. throttle position sensor might cause surging and whatnot, but then again...
as for the smoking, you might be burning a bit of water...

i took out the oil filler cap an the head is bone dry an after about 5 mins the right side head starts ticking louder an louder till the surging kills the motor
