Default 6.0l engine flutter at idle, 2011 Suburban 2500

Hello folks - new to the forum - have a question about our 'new' 2011 Suburban 2500.

It runs and drives very well, which is why we bought it, however the 6.0l engine seems to have an intermittent 'flutter/miss' in gear at idle. It has 163k miles on the clock and doesn't drip a drop of anything - the PO seems to have taken good care of it. Power is good, no other issues, and I'm seeing that this 'flutter/miss' is considered normal with these 6.0l engines?, and wanted to try to get some confirmation. The miss seems to be just like a bad set of plugs and we're digging into the service records to see if/when the plugs and wires have been replaced, but there is no apparent miss under load/cruising along on the highway. Fuel mileage is right around 13 mpg average.

Would appreciate any thoughts.

Cheers, and happy holidays!

Try cleaning the throttle body plate and body out. From what I read, the 6.0 seems to be pretty sensitive to that compared to other vehicles/motors.

Thanks much - I'll give that a try, and I'll report back on the results.
