60,000 service- a few questions
Hey Guys,
I'm looking to learn how to do some of the basic maintenance work on my Tahoe. We bought it used w/ 30K miles and we're approaching 60K right now. Manual did not come with the car when we bought it, and the one I downloaded for free some the web isn't clear as to what is required at 60K miles. I imagine that it's a relatively involved service.
And if anyone here is near Morris County, NJ, I offer free and copious beer to anyone who would be willing to make sure I do the job right (as it'd be my first go at it)...
Thanks
John

there is nothing major at 60k mainly just the normal oils/fluids, check your tires and brakes; you should replace your transmission and rear diff fluid if that has not been done.
if you have the original battery you should look into replacing it soon.

50k is the next interval so I would look at the 50k recommendations... as for the battery I agree but its one of those items that you get what you can out of it and replace it when it fails...but for about $70 or so you could replace it to keep it from letting you down when you need it...
