Default 95 4X4 Burb loses all power

Help! My 1995 Burb 1500 4X4 acquired a new habit last week: When driving down the road, it loses all power - engine, electrical, everything. After this, it may or may not have the power all come on. I hopped into it a couple days ago, started it, and it died after 2 seconds. No power anywhere. No lights, no ignition. The buzzer that is on when the door is open and key is in was very faint, and sounded horrible. I've been told that maybe it's the Ignition Control Module, but I was told that it still should crank if that is out. Any ideas?

Thanks

Before replacing anything I would check the wiring connections at the starter, you may find everything corroded down there.

Disconnect the battery first.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the starter and all connections - they are all in very good shape.

Any other possible causes that I can check? I've checked all connections to power (battery, engine-compartment fuse box, under dash fuse box, ignition switch, etc. No apparent problems.

Thanks for any help you can give.

it may sound stupid but double check the battery with a multi-meter. you need to see if it is at 12 volts: 1 with the key off, 2 with the key on, 3 with the key in the start position. i had a very similar problem with my 95. found it was the battery.
