Hey Guys was wondering if anyones ever had an issue where the trans fries then the car wont start again. Basically my tahoe was down to 2 gears 1st & 2nd. I have the 4l60e in mine. The other day i was driving and the trans gave out finally, realized it going 40mph when i hit the gas and thier was no umph from the trans when i hit the gas. I pulled over then the whole car shut off. When i try to start it back up it turns over, or wants to, but doesnt start & i can smell gas & an occasianl backfire occurs. Almost acts like its out of time but was running fine with no signs of anything other then the trans before the trans blew.

So my question is does the trans blowing have anything to do with why it wont start & while to me it seems like i have a seperate fuel issue or something, what are the odds it happens and shows its signs when the trans blows.
