Default 97 Tahoe won't start!

Went out this a.m. and 1997 Tahoe 128K, 4wd, 4 door, 5.7L started, I moved it down the driveway and it wouldn't start again, just one click when you turn the ignition. Took the starter off and had it tested as well as the battery. Both are fine, got it started again about 8 hours later and then turned it off, tried to start it again and same thing. Please help as I have no idea where to go from here. Checked the started wires with a volt meter and have good amps. I don't think it is the fuel pump as I had it replaced under a year ago and I sprayed the throttle body with carb cleaner and still the same thing. I don't think it is the alternator either b/c it stayed running for at least5 minutes after I got it started and it didn't die.
Thanks,

If you only get a click when you turn the key, then you canforget checking anything else until you findthe problemin the battery/starter area.

Have you checked all the ground connections to make sure they are clean and tight?

The battery and the starter may check good when they are out of the vehicle, but something is not making good connection when they are installed.

RonH,
Thanks for the info. I ended up taking off the battery cables again and cleaning them really good and it fired right up. Thanks again for the help.
