98 suburban k1500 tranny problem
Got stuck in the snow. Went into 4wd and reverse went out. Pulled from snow and only have low gear. Where do I begin? went to try it park and reverse there is a loud spinning humming noise. forward works. not sure which not sure which one.

Did you bury the tranny pan in the snow? might have jammed something against the pan and lost some linkage or yanked electrical connections loose. thos plastic connectors are not indestructable. Teh whine noise might be bent flywheel pan against teh flex plate. Wonder how I know to look there..... let us knwo what you find.
