Default 99 1500 4wd 5.7 new to me

Hey fellow BURBS!

My new to me 99 has been with us for a week and ive made two decent trips in er and have 3 issues to iron out!

I have a break pedal that whistles when pressed bout 1/2 way. Cruise no work (fuse is fine) and a clunk in the left rear when I pull out after decent full stop.

The 1st two are no big deals and I will figure them out eventually but that clunk needs to get zeroed in on.

I will look at wheel lugs this weekend cause i've been down that road in the past. My gut tells me its something in the differential grabbing and since I have no clue how this 4wd in this thing works perhaps one of you enlightened ones can share some info on it.

135k and in good shape other than living in the north east when new and having more rust under there than I'm used to living in NEW MEXICO!

any and all reply's are greatly appreciated!
