99 suburban ABS

The rear should have one sensor mounted at the center pumpkin of the rear axle. Your other problems with the rear brakes getting hot need to be addressed before this work or inspection. When you have all the standard brake system working properly you can road test and stomp the brakes at around 40-50 mph and see if you feel the ABS pulse and the noise that typically goes with it. Most of the time a fault in the system will set a code but you will need the correct scanner to pull ABS codes, like a Tech 2. Typically problems are related to the sensors or wiring to the sensors.
