99 Suburban low voltage, engine loses power
I have a 99 suburban, a couple of weeks ago I got in and noticed the gauge showed lower than normal voltage. When I turned the AC on it dropped a bit further and the engine power dropped off dramatically. The next day I got in and the battery (4 months old), was completely drained.
Time for a new alt?

Sounds like an alternator problem to me....once its replaced you might want to put the battery on a charger for several hours or over night...its possible for a battery not to recover from a hard draining just fyi...
