Tahoe & Suburban The power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.

My Tahoe sputters and backfires when giving it half throttle. It starts fine and idols at about 6-700. If I give it a lot of gas it doesn't sputter, only when trying to cruise or just hold my speed. I've cleaned the throttle body thoroughly and replaced the fuel filter.
Looking for any other opinions out there as to why it acts like it's not getting gas or power when holding the throttle slightly down.

combustion engines needs three ingredients: air, fuel and spark. Process of elimination:

Unless your air filter is really clogged, it's unlikely that it's not getting enough air. Is the cat clogged up? Give a whack to see if the insides collapsed, or pull out the O2 sensor. Is the MAF sensor dirty and not measuring air properly?

Fuel: Is the fuel pressure high enough? Is the fuel filter clogged? Is the fuel injector(s) clogged?

Spark: Condition of spark plugs? Plug wires? Coils? Distributor cap + gear. Spark timing: rotate cap, check crank/cam sensors
