Has anyone added aftermarket Airbags (in spring) to their SUV that also has AutoRide?
I am wanting to install a set on my 09’ Burban w/ Autoride, If I look up the part # it tells me that it won’t work with Autoride. (Not concerned about the effects of the factory air ride system) I have talked to Air Lift & Firestone & they both say that the coil spring is a different size between Autoride & non-Autoride vehicles.
After talking to Airlift they said that could probably find me a bag to fit but I would need to send them the measurements of my spring at ride height. I was just wondering if other owners have used the bags for a non-AR Kits anyways & if they fit just fine or if they had to measure & get a bag for something else.
Air lift # 60769
Fire stone # 4108
Thanks in adavance!

Why do you need air bags? The rear shocks have the air bladders that can keep the car level with a surprisingly huge load on them... When they do go at around 100K miles the bladders are shot but the shocks them selves are too... So its not that your replacing them just for the air bladders...

I'v only had the burban for a few months & I have only towed my car trailer a few times & i noticed that is has some sag in the rear end, well now that spring is coming I'm going to be pulling my 28' camper quite a bit. When i did tow with it that little bit of sag was enough to put the headlights up so that i was constantly having people flash their brights.
The Autoride would pump up & stop, so i don't suspect that there is a leak just assume that it couldn't hold all the weight. I will be using an equalizer hitch with the camper but i still suspect that the sag will be there.
My plan was to hook up trailer, fill bags to normal ride height or just below, then let Autoride do its thing.
