I didn't say the tone ring. I said sensor mounting surface.

Update: hello again, I have recently replaced both rear axles, tone rings and bearings. I replaced the left rear sensor again. When I turned on the truck all abs lights went off, I was super stoked for a min but once driving lights came back on. I have no brake issues at all. No brake light on and only get the left rear abs sensor code. I noticed that both rear abs sensors are not flush on the axle. They both are raised a quarter inch out and I can’t get them in any further. I’ve checked all fuses, replaced the abs modulator, checked stock wiring. No issues found, and as I stated no braking issues while driving. Any ideas are greatly appreciated

3rd time ... have you scraped/cleaned the speed sensor mounting surface as shown in the image?
they need to come flush. Make sure you have the right hardware.

Also the gap is not caused from the surface, it’s just not able to go all the way in for some reason. Tuesday I will measure the hole and see what’s obstructing it

(There should be two more characters after the "C0131", such as C0131-00)

Using an ABS capable diagnostic tool, enable the "Brake Pressure Sensor Calibration.". Wait for the status to switch back to "off".

Then, remove the tool, turn off the Ignition Key and wait 1 minute before cycling the key back on. This will allow the EBCM to complete the learn procedure.

If that doesn't help, replace the EBCM

mountainmanjoe, thanks for the info. I will have to find a shop to do the calibration since my scanner won’t.
