My AC belt tensioner was worn at and I had thrown a belt. My auto guy replaced the tension pully and put a new belt on but now my AC compressor is making a "rattle." Here is a YouTube video of the noise.
Is the compressor about to die? Is it just the clutch? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Save yourself some grief - replace them both.

I went through the same thing with my '01. First the compressor died. I replaced it. Then the clutch died. I replaced it. Then the tensioner pulley seized.

Each time this happened, it was during the summer when it was 90+°. When the tensioner pulley seized, we were sitting in Chicago traffic in the middle of July, on our way to a wedding in Wisconsin. That trip sucked.
