Tahoe & SuburbanThe power, space, and brutal towing ability make the Tahoe and its longer sibling, the Suburban, arguably the best full size SUV's on the market today.
I'm sure the 48e is sufficient. They're cheap at Advance Auto. There are premium alternatives out there as well that are much more solidly made. Has anyone heard of the 48e plastic core failing?

That was my concern, they are new enough that potential failures may not show up right away...I would just hate for that nylon core that holds the filter medium in place to break down and enter the oil pump or other oil ports, and cause blockage. Starve the engine of oil, engine shuts down, I'm out in the middle of no-where BFE pulling a trailer, end up having to get towed to some remote off the grid repair shop with no cell service and "bubba" thinks I look "kinda cute"
Okay, maybe I over exaggerated the whole scenario, but you get the general idea...
Never forget that you always get what you pay for.
Stay away from Fram.
Who said anything about Fram? I'm talking about the AC Delco PF 48e. It's $4.19 at Advance Auto it's the exact filter you'll get with an oil change at the dealer.

I know that. Was just adding another warning.
FWIW, I'll stick w/ filters that have metal innards. Plastic has a bad habit of disintegrating after temp cycles.
