Default AFM Fixed?

I just bought a 2007 suburban ltz with 152k miles. I have a 6.0 with active fuel management (AFM). I got the maintenance history from the dealer and found out it got a new remanufactured engine 24k miles ago in June of 2012.

Does anyone know if GM fixed the problem they had with their 07 ~ 09 AFM engines? Or is it likely that my engine will have the same problem again on the future?

Default 6.0

I was under the impression only the 5.3L had AFM until 2010 when AFM was added to the 6.2L

is the 6.0 the 2500?

I know that this is rare but the suburban is a 1500 LTZ with the 6.0 and also the heavy duty transmission. The dealer gave me a spec sheet where it specifies all of the options on the vehicle and AFM is on there. I would have thought that maybe when they changed the engine back in 2012 that they replaced the 5.3 with the 6.0 but the 6.0 engine is also specified on the spec sheet as an origianl option for this vehicle. Wierd, I know.
