Default After the First 11 Weeks - Here Are Some Numbers . . .

Okay, we've had our 3.73 07 LTZ since June 16th. I thought I'd post some info that folks may find useful, especially prospective owners.

First, here is the general profile of how we use "Foxy" (my wife's pet name for it ): we live in the Atlanta area. She drives 70 miles roundtrip to work every other week (she's in a carpool). It's all highway, but in Atlanta, it's usually stop-and-go for a bunch of it. We own two businesses on the side. We don't tow. There have been two road-trips from Atlanta: St. Louis & Raleigh.

Here are some numbers:

Total Miles Driven: 6,245
Total Fuel Used - based on DIC: 422.9 gallons
Total Fuel Used - Amount purchased: 422.4 gallons (looks like the DIC is pretty accurate)
Average Miles per day: 84.5 (June = 74 / July = 61 / Aug = 109 (road trips!))
Total MPG: 15.2 (Jun = 13.8 / July = 15 / Aug = 15.6)
Gas Cost: $1,187 (87 octane, no ethanol)[/align]

Are you running stock size tires? What does the DIC say the avg MPG is or is that what you're going by? If you calculate out the fuel / milage ratio you list it works out to 14.78ish. No worries on the fraction of a gallon, just trying to figure out the accuracy of the DIC. If I was worried about milage I would have bought a Honda! I'll post the sad news once I get my 33x12.5's mounted.

I didn't catch the discrepancy with MPG, but it should say 14.8 overall. Everything on the ride (including the 20-inch Dueller tires) is stock EXCEPT the K & N Performance intake & filter. Also, I changed to synthetic oil @ 1500 miles.
