Found this link on the web (I have not spotted it here...) and thought I would share it for folks wanting to see pics of aftermarket double din DVD/NAV options... Kinda odd how the donor hoe has wood and metal trim... I thinkI may go with this unit.

wow that is really nice i didn't want to go with factory nav so i am going with alpine. i think its just beautiful.

 

i have the pioneer avic-z1 with every option except bluetooth however once the avic-z2 is hopefully available in aprili'm gonna put that in instead.

 

the alpine nav system are nice. the only downside to them are they are expensive because their nav unit is a seperate piece which retails for $1700 for the good one and not the $500 for the portable blackbird.

 

I just put in the Pioneer Z1 as well, tons of features and I got the bluetooth and love it. Just need to hook up the rear headphones somehow and the back up sensors..

X.....Did you use any adapters like Metra or PAC ? Are your back up sensors working ?

 

i used the metra gm-lan02 to interface with the bose system and i'm using the pac swi-ps for the steering wheel controls...as far as the back up sensors go, i dont have them so i have no issues there.

 

How long did it take you to install your nav system?
