Air bag not deploying
Hey y'all! I was in an accident on Wednesday (11/13) and I was T-boned. A 90's model 4-runner hit me at driver side front fender/driver door area. I drove a 2011 Chevy Suburban. It broke my ball joint, and did pretty good impact to my fender and door.
However my question/concern is that my air bags didn't deploy. He hit me at 35mph and was a direct hit, neither of us had enough reaction time to break. I feel like my side air bags should have went off. Also my OnStar didn't even go off.
Anyone have similar issues? I am waiting for the auto shop to call me and I was going to ask about the airbags, but figured I would ask here.
I am okay from the accident, my head would maybe feel better if it hit an air bag and not the window. Also I am very proud of how the burban was built because it handled the accident quite well, I can not say the same for the 4-runner. Thankfully both of us drivers are okay, but the 4-runner didn't hold up nearly as well as the burban.
