Another Tahoe tow question?
Man, this forum is helpful. I’ve got a 03 Tahoe and wonder what my options are for putting a tow device on the back of it? I’ve never had one on a vehicle and am very unfamiliar with what the different ways of mounting one are.

Thanks

Thanks
John, welcome to the Forum !
You have several options...
Check with your Dealer, and they will probably be able to order/have a Receiver which will bolt on as if it were OEM. That should include the Electrical Trailer Lights Connector.
You may also go to a local Trailer Parts/Repair company, and buy an after market setup made by someone other than GM.
Then, you could check with one of your local Wrecking/Parts Yards, and rob a complete assembly off of a similar model vehicle.
Now, IF you intend to do this yourself, be sure that you use Aircraft Quality fasteners, when bolting the unit to your vehicle. And that you have good Tires which are rated for the additional loads.
Part of your question is perplexing though...
There's only one way to mount a Hitch Assembly, and that is according to the Manufacturers recommendations. Variations on this frequently lead to problems later in the life of the Vehicle or the Trailer it's towing.
Stout is not stout enough.
