Default Stereo cargo area speakers

Hi,

99 gmc suburban

I had a new stereo installed (deck) as the truck came without. after the stereo would constantly go in protect mode I brought it in to a shop. He got one bad speaker so he left that one not connected. and the stereo now works properly.

The truck also has an amp (aftermarket kicker) which has power but I dont know if the current goes through. Which is connected to the stereo by an orange wire. The wires of the rear speakers come to this amp.
Everything looks like it is done professionally so tracking the wires is hard as they are hidden real well....it also I believe has the factory amp on the steering column if that does anything

Now my rear cargo speakers are not working even though everything seems to be connected properly... not a peep out of them.

so whats the likely issue here and what is your recommendations.

Thanks!
