OK, they are not really fog lights, just these weak round driving lights in the bumper.

I know the bulb is GM proprietary and cannot be replaced with a good aftermarket one.

Has anybody tried to remove the entire housing or assembly and fit an aftermarket, high quality housing into this bumper location?

 

Yeah, I did. I wanted something rugged and bright. I went with the Mag Light option for Tahoe's

They are fog lites that do work in fog. They are not weak driving lites.

Hang in there, hopefully somebody may have some answers to your question - meanwhile you gotta laugh at Doo's latest photoshop project.

 

i'm currently working on somthing now. should be done by this weekend.i found a fog light kit that should bolt in with no mods.will keep you posted

73, Sorry. These don't work for me in fog at all. My other car is a 740 and that has real fog lights. I alsoinstalledpretty bright HIDs and the original lights look very weak when both are on...
