Hi there I have a 93 suburban that came without a cat in the exhaust...now I have to put one in, I was wondering if anyone had a picture where it usually is mounted and size? I dont want to unbolt the header so Im going to try to cut out the pipe that is there now and clamp one in...maybe weld it if there is room...but it looks tight to do a full 360 weld. ive been looking for pics but dont see anything.

Its a 1500 2wd.

I know on my 1993 Step-side truck, it had a 3 in pipe, as far a position it was shortly after the headers. I had put some Doug Thorley headers on it and it was direct bolt up....
